Recipe ingredients
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups (500 mL) fresh mushrooms, cleaned
- 1 lb. (450 g) semi-lean ground beef
- 1 cup (250 mL) fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) chopped fresh parsley
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) fruit ketchup
- Flour as needed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Using a food processor, finely chop the onion and the mushrooms.
Add the beef, breadcrumbs, parsley and fruit ketchup. Season to taste.
Process a few seconds or until evenly blended.
Roll into 8 to 10 large meatballs. Then flour your hands and flatten into even patties.
Pan-fry 12 to 15 minutes or until the meat has lost all trace of pink.
