Recipe ingredients
- 10 pears
- 1 fresh pineapple, chunks
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Juice and grated zest of 2 limes
- 2 lb. (900 g) sugar
- 1 star (1) anise
- 2 cups (500 mL) seedless grapes
Preparation
Peel and core the pears.
Slice in sections.
Put in a pan with the pineapple chunks and cinnamon.
Add the juice and grated zest of lime, sugar, star anise and grapes.
Bring to a boil, then lower heat and cook gently 20 minutes.
Stir constantly.
Remove from heat, remove the cinnamon stick and pack into jars.
