Recipe ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) vegetable oil*
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped onion
- 1 1/2 lb (675 g) beef, cut in strips
- 3 finely chopped shallots
- 1 red pepper, cut in strips
- 2 diced celery stalks
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) chicken bouillon*
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) lemon juice
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) soy sauce*
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) chopped fresh parsley
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) chopped lemon zest
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) ground ginger
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) grilled sesame seeds (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Heat the oil in a skillet or wok.
Sauté the onion a few minutes on high heat. Add the beef strips and continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes or until the beef is cooked.
Set aside.
Brown the vegetables in the wok for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the beef to the wok and mix with the vegetables.
Mix the chicken bouillon, lemon juice, soy sauce, parsley, lemon zest and ginger in a small bowl. Add to the wok.
Mix constantly until the sauce thickens slightly. Season.
