Recipe ingredients

  • 1 lb. (450 g) fresh ground turkey
  • 1/3 lb. (150 g) ground ham
  • 1 cup (250 mL) seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 spanish onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup (180 mL) parmesan cheese

Preparation

Combine turkey, ham, breadcrumbs, egg and onion in a bowl. Season.
Shape into 4 equal patties about 1 cm ( 3/8 in.) thick.
Fry patties in an oil/butter mixture 4 minutes on each side.
Sprinkle with Parmesan, let cheese melt and serve.

Suggestion

For tender, juicy turkey burgers, add a dollop of mayonnaise or Dijon mustard to the meat.
