Recipe ingredients
- 8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- Hazelnut Basting Sauce
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) soya sauce
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) gooseberry jelly
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) chopped ginger
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) chicken concentrate
- 1 cup (250 mL) crushed toasted hazelnuts
Preparation
Preheat the barbecue to medium heat.
In a glass bowl, mix sauce ingredients together. Set half of it aside.
Place chicken thighs on a sheet of oiled aluminium foil.
Baste chicken thighs with remaining sauce and barbecue 5 to 7 minutes per side.
In a saucepan, bring reserved sauce to a boil and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Top chicken thighs with this sauce and serve.
