Recipe ingredients
- 1 lb. (450 g) fresh chicken strips
- Tandoori basting sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) green pepper mustard
- 1 cup (250 mL) 2% plain yoghurt
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) Chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) gresh grated ginger
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) cranberries
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
Preparation
Preheat the barbecue to medium heat.
Brown garlic for several seconds in a butter/oil mixture.
Add remaining sauce ingredients, bring to a boil and remove immediately from heat. Set half of sauce aside.
Place chicken strips on a sheet of oiled aluminium foil.
Baste chicken strips with remaining sauce and barbecue 8 to 10 minutes, turning frequently.
Top strips with reserved sauce and serve.
Suggestion
Replace 125 mL (1/2 cup) of yoghurt with the same quantity of cream cheese.Origin: Indian
