Recipe ingredients
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) butter*
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. (25 mL) minced French shallots
- 1/2 Tbsp. (7 mL) dry mustard*
- 2 1/2 cup (625 mL) fresh or frozen cranberries
- 3/4 cup (180 mL) sugar*
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) boiling water
- 6 clementines, juice and zest
- Orange liqueur, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, optional
Preparation
In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat.
Brown shallots with dry mustard 2 minutes.
Add cranberries, sugar and boiling water.
Cook over low heat 15 to 20 minutes.
Add juice and zest of clementines. Continue cooking 5 minutes, medium heat.
You may add the orange liqueur with the clementines.
