Veal Bitok with Mushrooms and Sesame

Recipe ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb (700 g) ground veal
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter, softened
- to taste salt and ground white pepper
- to taste nutmeg
- 1 clovegarlic, chopped
- 1 cup (250 mL) flour
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) sesame oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) sesame seeds
- 2 cups (500 mL) plain breadcrumbs
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) sesame oil
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
Preparation
Mix the veal, butter, salt, pepper, nutmeg and chopped garlic.
Shape 4 oval patties. Set aside.
Mix half the sesame oil and the eggs. Set aside.
Mix the sesame seeds and the breadcrumbs. Set aside.
Dredge the patties and remove excess flour.
Dip the patties in the egg mixture and in the breadcrumbs. The bitoks are ready.
Sauté the bitoks in sesame oil, and cook on low heat for 5 to 8 minutes.
Sauté the mushrooms in sesame oil and season with salt and pepper.
Serve with skillet cooked beets, broccoli florets, hash brown potatoes.
