Recipe ingredients
- 2 cans (170 g) Selection light tuna, drained
- 2 green onions, sliced thin
- 2 stalks of celery, diced
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) mayonnaise*
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) sweet relish*
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) curry powder
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) lemon juice
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) grated sharp cheddar*
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- 4 whole-wheat pitas
Preparation
In a bowl, mix all ingredients, except for lettuce and pitas, together.
Cut pitas in two and put half a leaf of lettuce in pita pocket.
Stuff pockets with tuna filling and serve with a salad of hearts of palm.
