Recipe ingredients

  • 4  pita breads*
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) fresh oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Adequate amount romaine lettuce, sliced
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 ripe tomato, diced
  • 1/2 green pepper, julienned
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Feta cheese, crumbled
  • To taste parsley
  • To taste lemon slices
  • To taste black olives

Preparation

Mix oil, lemon juice, garlic, sugar and oregano in a bowl. Season.
Add lettuce, onion, cucumber, tomato, green pepper and cheese. Toss well.
Garnish the pita breads.
Decorate with olives, parsely and lemon slices.
