Recipe ingredients

  • 2 slices of BON MATIN 14 grain bread, lightly toasted
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) softened butter, preferably unsalted
  • Adequate quantity alfalfa, radish or sunflower sprouts
  • 12 cooked asparagus tips, fresh, frozen or canned
  • 4 slices of cooked ham or smoked turkey
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) light mayonnaise or plain yogurt
  • Paprika to taste
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) fresh chopped parsley

Preparation

Butter the bread slices.
Line the edges of the bread slices with alfalfa or other sprouts.
Cut the ham slices in squares. Place 3 asparagus tips diagonnaly across each square and roll up the meat.
Use a decorative toothpick to hod the ham roll together.
Place two ham rolls diagonnaly on each piece of toast. Garnish with a little mayonnaise or yogurt.
Place on a serving dish. Sprinkle with paprika and parsley.
Serve immediately. Delicious with a glass of vegetable juice.
