Recipe ingredients

  • 8 to 12 pieces of dried tomatoes
  • 1 cup of (250 mL) light cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) sour cream of plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) pitted and chopped black olives
  • 4 Tbsp. (60 mL) finely chopped red onion
  • 4 to 6 slices of BON MATIN 6 grain Bread, plain or lightly toasted
  • Lettuce leaves to taste

Preparation

In a bowl, soak the tomatoes in boiling water for 6 to 8 minutes, until tender.
Drain, dry and chop the tomatoes finely.
Add the other ingredients to the tomatoes and mix well. Season to taste.
Spread the tomato mixture on the bread, cover with lettuce leaves and close the sandwich.
Serve with assorted raw vegetables (carrots, celery, red and green pepper, etc.)
