Recipe ingredients
- 1 lb. (450 g) 15% B.F. Allégro brie type cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) flour
- 2 drops almond extract
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) oat bran
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) wheat germ
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) sesame seeds
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) crushed almonds
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) dried thyme
- 4 leaves lettuce
- Fresh parsley, garnish
Preparation
Cut cheese in half horizontally; then cut each piece into four wedges.
In a small bowl, mix egg, flour and almond extract.
In another bowl, combine oat bran, wheat germ, sesame seeds, almonds and thyme.
Dip cheese wedges in liquid mixture, then dredge in dry mixture.
In a Teflon frying pan, cook wedges over medium heat one minute per side.
Serve hot and nicely browned on a lettuce leaf; garnish with fresh parsley.
