Recipe ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) cornstarch
  • 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) baking powder
  • 1 lb. (450 g) large fresh shrimp, peeled and veined
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) sesame oil
  • 2 red peppers, in thin strips
  • 1/4 lb. (115 g) snow peas

Preparation

In a bowl, whisk cornstarch, egg whites and baking powder.
Add shrimp and mix.
In a large frying pan, heat sesame oil and quickly sauté red peppers and snow peas.
Add shrimp to vegetables and serve.

Suggestion

You can also use frozen shrimp. Let them thaw in the refrigerator the day before.
