Kaki and Tamarillo Marinade for Grilled Sweet and Sour Pork Chops

Recipe ingredients
- 1 ripe kaki
- 1 ripe tamarillo
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) teriyaki sauce
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) Hungarian pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 4 pork chops
Preparation
Peel and purée the kaki and tamarillo.
Stir in teriyaki sauce and lime juice.
Chop pepper and garlic. Add to sauce.
Marinate chops 2 to 3 hours.
Grill over medium high heat 5 to 7 minutes.
Suggestion
Scald the tamarillo 1 minute for easy peeling.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
