Recipe ingredients

  • 3 star fruits, sliced
  • 12 ground cherries
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) butter*
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) dark rum
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) honey*
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) cardamom

Preparation

Melt butter over medium heat.
Brown the fruits.
Add rum, honey and cardamom.
Simmer 3 minutes.
Serve right away.

Suggestion

Star fruit is sweeter when the ribs are slightly browned. Trim ribs with scissors.
