Recipe ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb (675 g) medium ground beef
- 1 egg*, beaten
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) finely chopped walnuts*
- 1 cup (250 mL) sour cream
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) Irresistible ground turmeric*
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) Irresistible ground cinnamon*
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) vegetable oil*
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) chopped fresh chives
Preparation
In a bowl, mix beef, egg, walnuts, garlic, onion, parsley, turmeric and cinnamon together. Salt and pepper to taste. Make some 20 meatballs, about 1 in. (2.5 cm) in diameter.
In a covered skillet, heat oil and brown meatballs over high heat for 7-10 min. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
In a bowl, mix sour cream, chives, salt and pepper together.
Serve meatballs with sour cream accompanied by egg noodles and asparagus.
