Recipe ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 breasts of chicken
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) chicken broth
- 1 cup (250 mL) 10% cream
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) basil pesto
Preparation
In a frying pan, heat the oil and butter, brown garlic.
Cook chicken breasts 6 to 8 minutes on each side.
Deglaze the frying pan with the chicken broth.
Add cream and pesto, reduce by half over low heat 5 minutes.
Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts.
Suggestion
Pesto recipe: in the food processor, chop 2 cups (500 mL) fresh basil with 1/4 cup (60 mL) olive oil, toasted pine nuts and parmesan. Pesto freezes well.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
