Recipe ingredients
- 8 tsp. (40 mL) butter*
- 8 slices of Irresistibles nut bread*
- 4 fresh figs, sliced
- 1 lb. (450 g) Le Péribonka cheese, cut into 1/4-in. (5-mm) thick slices
- 4 leaves boston lettuce
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450oF (230°C).
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Lay figs on buttered bread.
Top with cheese and a second slice of bread.
Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread toasted golden brown.
Open sandwiches and add lettuce.
