Recipe ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. (15 mL)Irresistible canola oil
  • 4 pepper steaks
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) butter*
  • 6 shallots, dried, chopped
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) red wine
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) B.B.Q. sauce*
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL)whipping cream 35%*
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Preheat grill, medium heat.
Brush pepper steaks with oil and grill 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
In saucepan, melt butter and then add shallots and mushrooms.
Brown 1 minute; deglaze with wine.
Add B.B.Q. sauce, cream, salt and pepper.
Simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
Pour sauce in plates, place steaks and serve with tomatoes,
zucchinis and edible flowers.

Keep meat in refrigerator until it is time to cook it.
