Recipe ingredients

  • 4 3/4-inch (2-cm) thick king steaks
  • 2 pears, peeled, cubed
  • 2 sweet potatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 pineapple, cubed
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • Marinade
  • 1 cup (250 mL) soya sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) beef concentrate
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

In a glass dish, mix together well ingredients required for marinade. Lay steaks in dish, cover and marinate 2 to 6 hours in refrigerator.
Preheat grill, medium heat. Drain well steaks and grill 5 minutes on each side.
Prepare brochettes alternating cubed pears, potatoes, pineapples and
green peppers; cook for 2 minutes.
Bring marinade to a boil during 2 minutes and pour over meat and vegetables.
