Recipe ingredients
- Barbecue Sauce:
- 2/3 cup (160 mL) each: ketchup* and chili sauce*
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) honey*
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) each: dry mustard and chili powder
- 1 whole fresh chicken
Preparation
Preheat barbecue to medium.
In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce ingredients together. Reserve a third of the sauce to serve with the chicken.
With a knife, split chicken in two along the breastbone. Skin chicken completely.
Brush both halves all over with barbecue sauce.
Grill chicken 15-18 min. per side or until cooked through.
Baste generously with sauce during cooking.
Serve chicken with reserved barbecue sauce.
