Recipe ingredients
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) each: softened butter* and brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) honey*
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup (180 mL) mashed ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup (250 mL) each: all-purpose flour* and whole-wheat flour*
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) oatmeal*
- 1 cup (250 mL) chopped pecans
- 1 cup (250 mL) chocolate chips (optional)
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) baking soda*
- Pinch each: salt and cinnamon
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
In a bowl, cream butter and brown sugar with electric beater. Add honey and beat a few seconds more.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Mix in mashed bananas and yogurt.
In another bowl, mix remaining ingredients together.
Gently stir dry ingredients into banana mixture.
Pour batter into a lightly oiled 12 in. x 9 in. (30 cm x 23 cm) jellyroll pan.
Bake 35 min. or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Cool 10 min. and cut into 36 bars.
