Recipe ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) uncooked rice
- 4 cups (1 L) milk
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) sugar
- 1/4 tsp. (1 mL) nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) salt
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) raisins
Preparation
Wash and drain rice; mix all ingredients in the top of a double-boiler.
Cook in the double-boiler over low heat about 1 1/2 hours; add raisins.
Cook 30 minutes more or until liquid is completely absorbed.
