Recipe ingredients
- 1 9-in. (22-cm) pie crust
- 6 fresh apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) lemon juice
- 2/3 cup (160 mL) sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) flour
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) dabs of butter
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) melted apple jelly
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350ºF / 180ºC.
In the crust, arrange apples in a circle and sprinkle with lemon juice.
In a bowl, mix sugar, flour and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples.
Dot apples with butter.
Bake on the lower rack at 350ºF/180ºC for 45 minutes.
Brush melted apple jelly on the apples 5 minutes before end of baking time.
