Recipe ingredients
- Blini
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg*
- 1 egg yolk*
- 1 1/4 cups (310 mL) 2% milk
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) unsalted butter, melted
- Filling
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) mayonnaise*
- 5 oz. (140 g) cooked turkey, cut into strips
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) cranberry sauce
- Alfalfa sprouts to taste
Preparation
Using a mixer, beat egg together with yolk, milk and butter.
Add sifted flour and mix until batter is smooth, without any lumps.
Cover and let stand 30 minutes.
In a skillet, melt a little butter. Add a few spoonfuls of batter, spreading it into a circle with the back of the spoon.
Cook on medium heat until small bubbles break the surface and underside is golden brown.
Transfer to a plate and cool, while making the rest of the blini.
Filling
Brush blini with mayonnaise and top with turkey strips and cranberry sauce. Garnish with alfalfa sprouts.
