Recipe ingredients
- 4 eggs*
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) cream 15%*
- 2 tsp (10 ml) zest of orange, chopped
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) vanilla
- 1 pinch of salt
- Appropriate amount of corn meal
- 8 slices bread of choice*
- Butter to taste
Preparation
In a small deep bowl, beat the eggs, milk, cream, orange zest, vanilla and salt.
On a plate, spread the corn meal.
Soak, turn and saturate bread slices in the egg preparation. Then coat both sides with the corn meal.
In a large non-stick skillet, melt a little butter over medium heat. Add two slices of bread at a time and cook each side for 2 minutes or until the bread is lightly browned. Serve immediately along with your favourite garnish.
Suggestion
Replace the corn meal with millet or chopped almonds and garnish with orange zest.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
