Recipe ingredients
- 6 cups (1.5 L) water
- 3 cups (750 mL) orange juice*
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 lb (1,35 kg) pork back ribs
- Sauce:
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) tamari sauce
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) peanut oil*
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) brown sugar
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) fresh ginger, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- Salt and ground pepper to taste
Preparation
Place water, orange juice, and cinnamon stick in a large saucepan. Add side ribs and let simmer for 40 minutes, covered.
Preheat barbecue at medium high.
Remove ribs from the saucepan and drain them. Mix remaining ingredients and brush this sauce on the ribs. Place ribs on the barbecue grill and cook each side about 10 minutes. Brush them while cooking.
Serve with rice.
