Sausage Brochettes with pineapple and green pepper

Recipe ingredients
- 4 european sausages, any type
- 1 green pepper, cut up
- 1/2 red onion, cut into wedges
- 8 1-in. (2.5-cm) cubes of pineapple
- 2 cups (500 mL) Irresistibles orange juice*
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) rum
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 stick cinnamon
Preparation
Cook sausages 5 minutes in a pot of boiling waters. Drain and cut sausages into 1-in. (2.5-cm) long pieces. Thread pieces onto 4 skewers, alternating with vegetables and pineapple.
In a glass casserole, combine orange juice with rum, garlic and cinnamon stick. Add brochettes and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
Preheat barbecue to medium.
Put brochettes on oiled barbecue rack and cook 6-8 minutes. Brush with marinade during cooking.
