Recipe ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs (675 g) lean ground beef
- 3/4 cup (180 mL) Cheddar cheese, grated*
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) salsa sauce*
- To taste, ground hot peppers
- Salt and ground pepper to taste
- 4 kaiser buns
Preparation
Preheat barbecue at medium-high or in the frying pan.
In a bowl, mix all ingredients except the buns.
Make 4 patties, about ½ inch (1 cm) thick.
Place the patties on an oiled barbecue grill and cook 7 minutes per side, or until meat is well done. You may wish to toast kaiser buns for 30 to 60 seconds, after lightly brushing them with butter.
Place patties in the buns and garnish according to preference (lettuce, pickle, onion, tomato).
Serve with nachos and salsa.
