Recipe ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) wasabi (Japonese horse-radish)
- ¼ cup (60 mL) rice vinegar
- ¼ cup (60 mL) soy sauce*
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) peanut oil*
- ¼ cup (60 mL) fresh coriander, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 4 halibut steaks, about 6 oz (180 g) each
- Salt and ground pepper to taste
- Juice of 1 lime
Preparation
Mix the wasabi with the vinegar and soy sauce. Add oil, coriander and garlic. Place steaks in marinade, cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Preheat barbecue at medium-high.
Place steaks on oiled barbecue grill and cook about 4 minutes per side, or until meat is opaque. Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve halibut garnished with chopped coriander and sprinkled with lime juice.
Suggestion
