Recipe ingredients

  • Dressing
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) Dijon mustard*
  • 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) sugar*
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) orange juice*
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) Irresistible white wine vinegar*
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) each: dried mint and thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) olive oil*
  • Salt and white pepper to taste
  • Salad
  • 4 cups (1 L) red leaf lettuce, washed and torn up
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced very thin
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced

Preparation

In a small bowl, mix dressing ingredients together.
In a salad bowl, combine lettuce, onion, red pepper, cucumber and celery.
Add dressing to salad and toss to coat all ingredients. Serve immediately.

Suggestion

Replace dried mint and thyme with 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) each fresh mint and thyme.
