Recipe ingredients
- 3 1/2 oz (100 g) unsalted butter*, at room temperature
- 2 tbsp. (30 mL) chopped fresh oregano
- 1 tbsp. (15 mL) chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp. (30 mL) minced green onions
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) lime juice
- Pepper to taste
- 4 beef tournedos, about 6 oz (180 g) each
Preparation
In a bowl, beat ingredients for seasoned butter together with a fork until smooth and creamy.
Spread seasoned butter on a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Shape into a roll and seal tightly. Refrigerate or freeze until needed.
Preheat barbecue to medium.
Lay tournedos on barbecue's oiled grill. Cook 2-4 minutes per side to desired degree of doneness.
Top steaks with a pat of seasoned butter and serve.
