Recipe ingredients
- 2 eggs*
- 2/3 cup (160 mL) 2% milk
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) Sirobec maple syrup
- 4 Tsp (20 mL) butter*
- 4 slices of Irresistibles raisin and cinnamon bread*
Preparation
In a bowl, beat eggs.
In a frying pan, warm milk.
Add maple syrup.
Pour warm milk over eggs, beat lightly.
Dip bread slices in egg mixture.
Set aside on a large plate.
In the same pan, melt 1 tsp (5 mL) of butter.
Brown 1 slice of bread on each side over medium-low heat.
Repeat for other slices.
Suggestion
For a more complete breakfast, fry a slice of ham or back bacon and cook an egg. Cover the French toast with the ham or bacon and the egg. Mask with maple syrup and serve with fresh fruit.You can also replace the Irresistibles of Merit Selection raisin and cinnamon bread with Irresistibles of Merit Selection maple bread.
