Recipe ingredients
- 1/2 lb (250 g/8 oz) boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 4 Tbsp (60 mL) pesto
- 4 Irresistibles Ciabatta bread*, split lengthwise (leave halves attached)
- 12 fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup (250 mL) sliced mushrooms
- 2 pickled red peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 cup (250 mL) shredded Canadian Havarti
Preparation
On barbecue grill or in toaster oven, grill chicken for 6 to 12 minutes. Turn once halfway through cooking.
Cut chicken into thin slices. Spread pesto on each half of bread.
Fill each with chicken, 3 basil leaves, mushrooms, sliced pepper and cheese.
Heat a few minutes.
Suggestion
