Recipe ingredients
- 4 cobs of corn, cleaned and sliced
- 1 green pepper, cut into large pieces
- 1 yellow onion, cut into large pieces
- 20 pitted black olives*
- Sauce
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) BBQ sauce
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) tomato ketchup*
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) corn syrup*
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) Tabasco
- Harissa (hot chili paste), optional
Preparation
Preheat the barbecue to high.
Thread pieces of corn, green green pepper, onion and olives onto skewers.
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the sauce.
Cook the brochettes approx. 10 min., basting frequently with the homemade BBQ sauce.
