Recipe ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) onion, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) butter*
- 1 cup (250 mL) dry white wine
- 1 bouquet garni (thyme, parsley, bay leaf)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 lb. (3 kg) mussels
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) parsley, cut up
Preparation
In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic in butter for 1 minute Add the white wine, bouquet garni and season. Once the liquid is simmering gently, add the mussels, cover and raise the heat. Cook from 5 to 7 minutes Stir frequently during cooking. Before serving, remove the bouquet garni and sprinkle with cut up parsley.
