Recipe ingredients

  • 2 French shallots, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) butter*
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Dijon mustard*
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Meaux mustard
  • 1 cup (250 mL) dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) parsley, cut up
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 lb. (3 kg) mussels

Preparation

In a large pot, sauté the shallot and garlic in butter for 1 minute Incorporate the mustards and continue cooking for approximately 2 minutes Add the white wine, parsley and season. Once the liquid is simmering gently, add the mussels, cover and raise the heat. Cook from 5 to 7 minutes. Stir frequently during cooking.
