Recipe ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) Irresistible extra virgin olive oil
- Pepper to taste
- 4 beef sirloin steaks, 3/4 in. (2 cm) thick
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) red wine
- 1 cup (250 mL) onion barbecue sauce
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
Preheat the barbecue to medium.
Oil and pepper the steaks and put on the barbecue.
Cook the first side 3 minutes. Turn steaks and put a sprig of thyme and rosemary on each. Cook 3 minutes.
In a frying pan, brown garlic in butter/oil.
Add remaining sauce ingredients and boil 1 to 2 minutes.
Pour the sauce over the steaks.
Suggestion
A sauce should never overpower the dish it is served with. Spicy sauce such as onion barbecue sauce goes well with beef and lamb.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
