Recipe ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) flour*
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) powdered cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) water
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) sesame seeds, grilled
- 1 lb. (454 g) tilapia filets
- Sufficient quantity of oil*
- Sufficient quantity of butter
- Lemon or lime juice to taste
- Yogurt and cucumber sauce
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) sour cream
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) garlic flower
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) lime juice
- ? cup (80 mL) cucumber, grated and dried
- A few drops of Tabasco
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) parsley, chopped
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients, check the seasoning and set aside.
In a bowl, mix flour, cumin, salt and pepper.
In another bowl, mix the egg with the water.
In a third bowl, place the sesame seeds. Lightly flour the filets, dip them in the egg.
Cover with sesame seeds.
In a frying pan, place the butter and oil, cook the filets, turning them when half-cooked after 3 to 4 minutes. Cook the other side of the filets 3 to 4 more minutes.
Serve with a drizzle of lime juice and yogurt and cucumber sauce.
