Recipe ingredients
- 1 stuffed turkey roast
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) soya sauce*
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) soya oil
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) sesame oil
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) orange juice*
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) sugar*
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) Thai basil, chopped
- ground pepper to taste,
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC).
Mix the soya sauce, soya oil, sesame oil, garlic and ginger. Bush the roast with this mixture.
Place the roast in an ovenware pan and cook about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 175ºF (77ºC) on the thermometer.
Remove from the pan, cover with aluminum foil and let stand 15 minutes. Deglaze the pan with the orange juice, add the sugar, reduce the sauce a little and add pepper to taste. Add the Thai basil at the end.
