Recipe ingredients
- 1 lb. (450 g) fresh cubed pork (4 to 6 cubes/brochette)
- 1 red pepper, cubed
- 2 apples, in sections
- 1/2 fresh pineapple, cubed
- Marinade
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3/4 cup (180 mL) white wine
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) paprika
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) fresh chopped ginger
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) maple syrup
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) barbecue sauce
Preparation
In a glass bowl, combine all marinade ingredients. Set aside about 15 mL (1 Tbsp.) marinade.
Put the cubes of pork, the vegetables and fruit in the rest of the marinade and coat well. Cover and marinate about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Preheat the barbecue to medium.
Remove the cubes of pork, the vegetables and fruit from the marinade, drain well and thread on brochettes, alternating the ingredients.
Grill the pork brochettes 5 to 8 minutes, turning from time to time.
Bring the reserved marinade to a boil and simmer 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over the brochettes.
Suggestion
For a much spicier marinade, add 15 mL (1 Tbsp.) Tabasco sauce.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
