Recipe ingredients
- 8 European sausages, your choice
- 2 red apples, halved
- 2 green or yellow apples, halved
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Spanish onion, chopped
- 1 cup (250 mL) beer
- 2 cups (500 mL) chicken concentrate
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Preheat the barbecue to medium.
Prick sausages with a fork and blanch in boiling water 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a pan, combine all the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer 2 minutes and remove from heat.
Put sausages and apples on a sheet of oiled aluminium foil. Brush with sauce.
Cook 6 to 10 minutes, turning often.
Baste during cooking.
Suggestion
Use your favourite beer for the sauce. A light beer will give your sausages a light taste. For a stronger flavour, choose a full-bodied red or brown beer.* We recommend Selection and Irresistibles products.
