Recipe ingredients
- Vegetables
- 3 carrots, cut into rounds
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 1 rutabaga, diced
- 2 Irresistibles* potatoes, diced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) soya sauce*
- Balls
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) Irresistibles olive oil*
- 1 large onion, chopped very finely
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) soya or other milk
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) breadcrumbs* or crumbled dry bread
- 1 Irresistibles egg*
- salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) Irresistibles parsley*
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) torula yeast
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) whole wheat flour, lightly toasted
- 2 Irresistibles bay leaves*
Preparation
In a saucepan, simmer the vegetables for 30 minute in the water and soya sauce.
Meanwhile, prepare the balls by mixing together all the ingredients (except the bay leaves and salt) and shaping into small balls. Cook in an oiled frying pan.
Add the balls and bay leaves to the vegetables, season with salt to taste and cook together for another 30 minutes.
