Recipe ingredients
- 2 10-oz. (300-g) GrilRouge Angus flank steaks
- Irresistibles Robusto olive oil* as needed
- Fresh thyme and rosemary as needed
- 2 shallots, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 Tbsp. (60 mL) butter*
- Chopped chives
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix olive oil, fresh herbs and shallots and brush flank steaks with mixture.
Refrigerate steaks in an airtight container for a few hours.
Season steaks right before cooking.
Remove excess shallots and set aside.
In a small pan, sear steaks for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until browned.
Transfer meat to an ovenproof dish, and continue cooking in oven about 15 minutes (to desired doneness).
Cook shallots in melted butter and pour over steaks.
Sprinkle with chopped chives and serve.
Suggestion
Let flank steaks stand for a few minutes before slicing diagonally against the grain.Origin: France
