Recipe ingredients
- 1 lb. (450 g) Irresistible boneless chicken breasts*
- To taste lettuce
- To taste tomato
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) vegetable oil*
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) Irresistible dried basil*
- Herbed yogurt
- 1 cup (250 mL) plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped, fresh mint
- 1 minced, garlic clove
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) cumin
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Mix the oil and basil in a small bowl. Brush the chicken and grill it in the oven for 25 minutes. Turn the chicken when half-cooked. When the breasts are cooked, cut them in thin strips.
Mix the yogurt, mint, garlic, lemon juice and cumin in a bowl.
Open the pita on one end to create a cavity. Stuff with chicken
Strips, lettuce and tomatoes and drizzle with sauce.
Serve with celery and carrot sticks.
Suggestion
Chicken always makes a good impression but you have to follow a few health rules. Wash your hands, the work surface and utensils thoroughly before and after handling poultry.Side dish:
