Recipe ingredients
- 1 pkg. Olivieri pasta sheets
- 1 tub (600 ml) Olivieri Tomato and Herb sauce
- 100 ml water
- 500 g lean ground beef
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 pkg. (475 g) Ricotta cheese
- 200 g. shredded mozzarella cheese or shredded Cheese blend
- 50 g. Parmesan cheese
- 15 ml. (1 tbsp) parsley
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Preheat oven to 425 F
Brown ground beef; drain excess fat.
Add 1 tub (600 ml) of Olivieri Tomato and Herb sauce and 100 ml of water
Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
In a bowl, beat one egg lightly
Add 1 tub (475g.) Ricotta cheese, 200g shredded cheese and 30 g. Parmesan cheese, parsley, nutmeg and salt and pepper to taste. Mix together
Add enough heated sauce to cover the bottom of the lasagna pan.
Place a sheet of pasta over the sauce; add 1/3 of the cheese mixture and spread over the pasta sheet.
Add ¼ of the sauce, spread over the cheese, and add another lasagna sheet.
Repeat, alternating cheese, sauce and lasagna sheets until the cheese is used up.
Place a lasagna sheet over the last layer, add the remaining sauce and 20 g. of Parmesan cheese
Place pan on a baking sheet, cover and put in the oven for 45 minutes
Uncover and finish baking for 10 minutes
Take from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
