Recipe ingredients
- Tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup (250 mL) firm plain yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) lemon juice
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) chopped garlic
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) peeled, grated English cucumber
- Sea salt to taste
- White pepper to taste

Preparation
Sauce
In a bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic and cucumber.
Season and let rest in the refrigerator for 6 hours.
Meat
Preheat the barbecue to high.
Cook the brochettes for 2 to 3 minutes per side. Warm the pitas.
Serve the meat in the pitas and garnish with the lettuce, onion, tomato and tzatziki sauce.
Suggestion
Oil the grill before cooking the brochettes so the meat doesn’t stick to the grill.
Accompaniments: lemon-rosemary potatoes, feta cheese and black Kalamata olives.
Medium-bodied red wine.
