Recipe ingredients
- 2 ripe medium avocados
- 4 Tbsp. (60 mL) mayonnaise*
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) chilli sauce
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) pastis (anis-flavoured liqueur)
- 4 oz. (113 g) Irresistibles snow crab meat*, flaked
- 1/4 - 1/2 fennel bulb, minced
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) lemon juice*
- To taste Irresistibles paprika*
Preparation
Cut avocados in two lengthways and remove the pits.
Scoop the flesh out of the avocados.
Keep the scooped-out shells.
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, chilli sauce and pastis. Mix in crab, avocado and fennel.
Stuff avocado shells with this mixture.
Sprinkle with paprika and keep refrigerated.
Suggestion
Snow crab is an excellent source of protein, vitamin B12, zinc, potassium and selenium.
It also contains significant quantities of omega 3 fatty acids.
