Recipe ingredients
- ¼ cup (60 mL) butter*
- 1 lb. (450 g) blue cheese, crumbled
- ¼ cup (60 mL) milk
- 1⅓ cups (330 mL) flour*
- 1 pinch Irresistibles Cayenne pepper*
- 60 smoked almonds, chopped
- 60 dried dates
Preparation
Melt cheese and butter in a pan over medium heat.
Stir in milk and flour.
Season with Cayenne pepper. Add smoked almonds.
Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
Slit dates lengthways and pit them.
Stuff each date with a small ball of the cheese mixture.
Put stuffed dates on a baking sheet and brown.
Serve hot.
